Mrs. Covert, a native and lifelong resident of Merced, is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Grace V. Stanton of Atwater and Mrs. Margie Cooper of North Highlands; two sons, Carroll of Merced and Jack Covert of San Leandro; one sister, Mrs. Frankie Farr of Merced; a brother, Gene Whealan of Planada; 14 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
