"State Supervisor for Borden Dies"

Henderson Barkely Jr., 4239 St. Charles, Louisiana supervisor for the Borden Company, died unexpectedly at 7 p.m. Sunday at the Veterans' Administration hospital here. He was 47.

Private funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Monday from the Tharp-Sontheimer-Tharp, Inc., funeral home, 4127 S. Claiborne. Burial will follow in Metairie Cemetery.

Barkley, a former sales manager for MeKesson and Robbins, Inc., was a lifelong resident of New Orleans. He was a graduate of Tulane University and a member of Kappa Alpha Fraternity.

He is survived by his wife, the former Miss Rosemary Russo, a son, Henderson Barkley III, and two brothers, John H., New York City, and Laurence M., New Orleans.
