Cora was the daughter of Benjamin Parker Jr. and Irena Parker. Her parents are buried in Pilgrim Cemetery. She shares a stone with her husband, Marshall Roland Shaw, who she married 31 December 1916 in Anderson County.

Services for Mrs. Cora Parker Shaw, 94, of Blanket will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday in Bailey & Foster Funeral Home with the Revs. Wayne Shaw and Joe Wayne Green officiating. Burial will be in Garden of Memories Cemetery.

Mrs. Shaw died Sunday in Brownwood Regional Hospital in Brownwood.

She was born March 6, 1894, in Elkhart, daughter of Benjamin and Irena Parker. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Early.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Roland Shaw, in 1968.

Survivors include daughters, Margret Farmer of College Station and Dorothy Becktold of Blanket; sons, Lynn Shaw and J. C. Shaw of Bryan and Homer Lee Shaw of Conroe; two sisters, Clara Gilmore of Palestine and Irene Easley of Gorman; brother, Roger Lee Bennett of Houston; 18 grandchildren and 25 great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be grandsons Ronnie Shaw, Gary Shaw, David Shaw, Collin Farmer, Robert Becktold, Duane Becktold, Dwight Shaw, Bryan Shaw, Todd Shaw and Curtis Farmer.

Condolence calls will be received from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. today at Bailey & Foster Funeral Home.
