Don F. McClelland, 81, Maple Hill, died Saturday, August 20, 1988 at his home.
Mr. McClelland farmed for 22 years in rural Maple Hill until he retired in 1977. He taught for 10 years in country schools in Wabaunsee County and was principal of Maple Hill Grade School from 1943 to 1955. He also worked as a livestock photographer in Kansas City, Missouri from 1937 to 1942.
He was born December 31, 1906 at Maple Hill, the son of Frank and Mattie Dailey McClelland.
Mr. McClelland was a member of the Maple Hill Community Congregational Church.
Survivors include an adopted daughter, Paulina Arnold, Maple Hill; and a brother, Joe McClelland, Chapel Hill, N.C.
Graveside services were held at 10 a.m. Tuesday in the Maple Hill Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the Helping Hands Humane Society, 2625 N.W. Rochester Road, Topeka 66618.
