Born in Pickens County, she was a daughter of the late Eugene Mauldin and the late Ruth Herron Spearman. Mrs. Haynes retired from McKechnie Plastic Components and was a member of Jones Avenue Baptist Church.
Surviving, in addition to her husband of 54 years, are a son, Leonard "Len" Eugene Haynes (Anne) of Newport News, VA; a daughter, Sonji Dawn Phillips (Scott) of Greenville; two grandchildren, Chelsey Sabol (Benjamin) and Seth Phillips (Candice); three great-grandchildren, Elijah, Olivia, and Ava Sabol; two brothers, Craig James Spearman and Richard "Dickie" Spearman; and two sisters, Jacquelyn Morgan and Eugenia Hunter.
Burial in Greenlawn Memorial Park.
