Sandra Jeanne Holden (nee Schmidle) died December 25, 2015 at Eastern Niagara Hospital at Lockport of complications from an extended illness. She was born February 9, 1948, in Buffalo NY, the daughter of the late Dr. Richard P. and Jeanne F. Schmidle. Sandy was a graduate of Wilson High School and attended Endicott College. A lifelong resident of Wilson, she was a communicant at Our Lady of the Rosary Catholic Church. She worked at the Wilson Library, at Lakeside Market and at Oakies and Rite Aid pharmacies. She was an active member of the Wilson Fire Company Auxiliary, the Wilson Historical Society, and the Friends of the Wilson Library. She was a devoted mother and avid reader who enjoyed sewing, solving puzzles, and spending time with family and friends. She is survived by her daughter, (2) brothers, husband, and by many aunts, uncles and cousins.
