"Of Williamsville, NY, age 90, died Tuesday, September 28, 2010 at Elderwood at Oakwood Senior Living Facility. She was born February 11, 1920, in Buffalo NY, the daughter of the late George H. and Mabel (Littlefield) Padginton. A 1942 graduate of Buffalo State College, she taught elementary school and was a hospital volunteer. A long-time resident of Wilson, NY, she attended Our Lady of the Rosary church, now St. Brendan on the Lake. She was a devoted wife and mother, and an avid reader who enjoyed gardening, travelling, singing, and community activities. She was predeceased in 2007 by her husband of 63 years, Dr. Richard P. Schmidle. She is survived by a daughter, Sandra Holden of Wilson, sons * * *; granddaughter * * *; brother * * *, and many nieces and nephews. A Memorial Mass will be held at 10 AM Saturday, October 9, at St. Brendan on the Lake Catholic Church, 245 Lake St., Wilson, followed immediately by interment in Greenwood Cemetery, Wilson NY. Memorial to charity of one's choice"
