Mrs. Abee was born on September 21, 1907 in Burke County to the late Aubrey Max Martin and Ritta Alice Franklin Martin. She was formerly employed by Burke County Public Schools as a Lunch Lady, Valdese General Hospital in the Dietary Department, and she was a homemaker. She was a member of Bollinger's Chapel United Methodist Church, and was active in the women's circle.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband Robert S. Abee; her sons, R.L. Abee, Harvey Abee, and Buford Abee; a great grandson, Robby Abee; her brothers and sister, Lorenzo Martin, Vester Martin, and Maudie Whitener.
Interment will follow in the Bollinger's Chapel United Methodist Church Cemetery
