Son of John A. and Mary Hardy. Born 13 November 1873 in Marion county, Missouri.

Lottie Ellen Siminon and William Thomas Hardy married 27 December 1894. Mr. and Mrs. William T. Hardy farmed in the Shelby county, Missouri, area. They moved to Ewing, Missouri, in about 1944. They wintered in Quincy Illinois while visiting their children there. Mr. Hardy belonged to Concord Christian church, and at Ewing Missouri worshiped at the local Baptist church.

7 December 1959 Mr. Hardy became a patient of a Quincy Illinois hospital. He later died at the hospital in Quincy, Illinois. Reverend Robert Feese, who was pastor of Ewing Baptist church, led services held at Concord Christian church in Sigsbee, Missouri. Interment was in the church cemetery. Mr. Hardy's grandsons were the pall bearers.
