Lawrence , L. Book, 63, of 821 Wright St., died unexpectedly Friday at 12:10 p.m. at his home, The city ambulance was called, but he was pronounced dead on arrival at Mercy Hospital.
He was born Sept. 26, 1894, in St. Louis, Mo., and resided there until coming to Oshkosh five years ago. Mr. Book had been employed by Badger Jobbing Company until his retirement three years ago.
Surviving are his wife, Madaline; two sons, Anthony Book, Oshkosh, and William Book, St'; Louis; one daughter, Sandra, at home; two stepsons, John and James Watson, Oshkosh; one brother, Karl Sterling, Patchogue, N. Y.; and six grandchildren.
Services will be held Monday at 2 p.m. at Fiss & Bills Funeral Home, with Capt. Rothwell Stickley, former head of Salvation Army here, officiating. Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home from Sunday at 3 p.m. until the hour of services.
