Raymond "R.D." Douglas Davidson, Sr., age 82, passed away at his home on Thursday, July 16, 2020.
"R.D." was a self-employed house painter for over 40 years. He was also an avid hunter.
"R.D." was preceded in death by his wife of 57 years of marriage, Connie Davidson; his parents, Rick Davidson and Pauline Wyrick; two brothers, David "Tinkie" Wyrick, and Noah Davidson; two sisters, Doris Ann Fullen, and Myrtle Balridge; granddaughter, Kristy Glaze; nephew, Ervin Davidson, Jr.; and daughter-in-law, Janet Davidson.
He is survived by one son, Ray Davidson; two daughters, Darlene Ward and husband Joe, Felicia Glaze and husband Rusty; one brother, Ervin Davidson, Sr. and wife Peggy; two sisters, Annette Davidson and husband "Doodle", Sharlene McCoy and husband Rick; ten grandchildren; many great-grandchildren; special great-granddaughter, Zoe Waters; and several nieces and nephews.
A graveside service will be conducted at 11 a.m. on Monday, July 20, 2020 at the Mount Pleasant Cemetery with Pastor Donna Johnson officiating. Everyone is asked to meet at the cemetery. The D.R. Henderson Funeral Home is honored to be serving the Raymond "R.D." Douglas Davidson, Sr. family.
