Jane was born January 30, 1925, in Winona County, MN to Archie and Hazel (Andersen) Milton.
On March 7, 1942, she married Everett P. Larsen in Witoka, MN and together they had seven children. Jane and Everett farmed in the Witoka/Ridgeway area. Everett passed away June 18, 1976. Jane later married Conrad Soppa on April 16, 1983 and she then moved to Arcadia, WI. Conrad preceded her in death June 3, 2002. Following his death, she remained living on the farm with her step son Allen.
Jane took pride in her family, work, faith and community involvement. She was a member of St. Luke’s Ev. Lutheran Church, Pickwick and the Ladies Aide, where she and other members made 100’s of quilts. After moving to Arcadia, she continued making quilts to sell or to donate to various benefit groups. She also enjoyed attending many horse pulls with Conrad and Allen.
She is survived by her daughter, Irene (Ray) Gady; six sons: Wayne Larsen; Harlan (Kay) Larsen; Steven (Renee) Larsen; Marvin (Mary Ann) Larsen; Kevin (Cheryl) Larsen; and Bert (Mary) Larsen; 15 grandchildren; 22 great grandchildren; three great great grandchildren; three step children: David (Marge) Soppa; Roger Soppa; and Allen Soppa; step grandchildren and step great grandchildren and other relatives.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husbands Everett and Conrad; sisters: Mariam Douglas, Doris Schossow, and Maida Smith; a brother Charles Milton; daughter-in-law Yvonne Larsen; step son Bernie Soppa; and step daughter-in-law Peggy Soppa.
A private family funeral was held at St. Luke’s Ev. Lutheran Church, Pickwick, MN, with Reverend James Nelson officiating. Interment was at Pickwick Cemetery.
