Betty Ann Sharp was born September 29, 1939, in Konawa, Oklahoma to Clifford Westly Shores Sr. and Annie Mae (Barker) Shores. She left her loving family on November 23, 2021. She married the love of her life, Joseph William Sharp on January 20, 1954, in Shawnee, Oklahoma. They had a daughter, LaVina Jane (Sharp) Wigington and son, Timothy Lowell Sharp. Betty was a resident of Oklahoma. She traveled the world and even lived in Antarctica. She was one of ten children and a cancer survivor. Betty was a member of St. Mark the Evangelist Catholic Church and the Norman Stamp Club.
She was an OSU-OKC Master Gardener and loved nature. She and Joe built a log cabin in Jones, and they were very proud of it. They even had an ostrich ranch at one time. Betty also enjoyed cooking, in fact, her very first job at age 11 was in a cafe, and she was a hard worker, no matter what she was doing.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 52 years, Joseph William Sharp; daughter, LaVina Jane (Sharp) Wigington; parents; brothers, Clifford Shores Jr., Franklin Shores, Wilburn Shores; sisters, Leta Smith, Pat Gallop, Daisy Shores, and Mary Swope.
She is survived by her son, Tim Sharp and wife Jan of Norman, OK; brother, Jerry Shores and wife; sister, Katie Shores, of Oklahoma City, OK; grandchildren, Ashley Nicole Leck and husband Jason of Cashion, OK, Amy Sueann Samuel and husband Vinod of Yukon, OK, Timothy Alec Sharp of Edmond, OK, Daphne Dawn Martinez of Colorado Springs, CO, Frankie Lee Nickels and wife Nina Rae of Denton, TX, Betty Ann Turner and husband Stevon of Colorado Springs, CO, Aaron Wigington of Moore, OK; and a host of great grandchildren, family, and friends.
Wake will be from 6:00PM to 8:00PM, Tuesday, November 30, 2021, Tribute Memorial Care, 708 24th Ave NW, Event Center, Norman, OK.
Mass of Christian burial will be at 10:30AM, Wednesday, December 1, 2021, St. Mark the Evangelist Catholic Church, 3939 W. Tecumseh Rd., Norman, OK.
Graveside Service will follow Funeral Service at Gracelawn Cemetery in Edmond, OK.
