Joseph William Sharp, 69, of Edmond, OK passed away on Oct. 27, 2006. Born Jan. 27, 1937 in Wewoka, OK to Dewey Carl and Maudie Mae Sharp.

Joseph was a self-employed diesel mechanic and did contract work with Unit Drilling. He attended the North Fork Baptist Church.

Joseph is preceded in death by his parents, brothers, Daniel Raymond Sharp, David Michael Sharp and Dewey Carl Sharp, Jr.

Survivors include his wife of the home Betty Ann Sharp; daughter, LaVina Jane Wigington and husband Donald L.; son, Timothy Lowell Sharp; siblings, Bonita, Jaunita, George, Kenneth, Carl, Geneva and Leveta. He is also survived by 7 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at Matthews Funeral Home Chapel on Wednesday, Nov. 1, 2006 at 11:00 a.m. with interment to follow at Gracelawn Cemetery in Edmond, OK.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Northfork Baptist Church Mission Dept. in Eufaula, OK.

Services are under the direction of the Matthews Funeral Home, Edmond, OK.
