"She is survived by her brother Ed Baker; children, Roy Burton and Joy Banks; grandchildren Paul Banks, Mike Burton, Russell Banks, Travis Burton, and Jon Burton; great-grandchildren (born to Paul) Wyatt Banks, Dylan Banks, (born to Mike) Ben Burton, (born to Russell) Lily Banks, Hadleigh Banks, Violet Banks, (born to Travis) Isaac Burton, and Hannah Burton.
"Madie and her husband Marvin raised their family in Aransas Pass, TX where she was the manager of a local retail store. After sending both of their children to college, they retired back to their home in the Brownwood/Coleman area of Texas. There they enjoyed spending time with their extended family and frequent visits from their grandchildren. After the passing of Marvin, Madie lived on her own in Coleman for many years where she was an active member of her community center and local church. Later she moved to Bastrop around the corner from her daughter where she made many new friends at Argent Court and was featured in some of their advertising.
"A small private memorial service will be held by her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren where she will be remembered for her kindness, wisdom, and generous spirit. Graveside service will be attended by family in Coleman County, Texas.
"Arrangements are entrusted to Stevens Funeral Home, 400 W. Pecan Street, in Coleman."
