Cyrus Roberts, 76, of Science Hill, died last Sunday.
A native of Casey County, Mr. Roberts was born Jan. 9, 1882, the son of the late Joe and Betty Jane Randolph Roberts.
Mr. Roberts married Louisa Vaught and six children were born to this marriage. Mrs. Roberts and two children preceded him in death.
Mr. Roberts made his profession of faith two years ago, and at the time of his death, was a member of the Ferndale Baptist Church.
Mr. Roberts is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Hulda Haste and Mrs. Janie Barnes, both of Ansel; two sons, Oscar and Fred Roberts, both of Ansel; two sisters; three brothers; 12 half-brothers and sisters; 24 grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held Tuesday in the Shady Grove Methodist Church. The Rev. Ernest Farris and the Rev. Lloyd Sewell conducted the services. Burial was in the Shady Grove cemetery.
