Angeline "Angie" (Piccolo) Vita, 81, beloved wife of Natale "Nattie" Vita, of Narragansett Avenue, Westerly, died Dec. 30, 2003, at Fatima Hospital, Providence.
Mrs. Vita was born in Westerly, daughter of the late Paul and Bomena (Piezzo) Piccolo and had been employed as a weaver for the George C. Moore Co. until her retirement at the age of 55. She was a communicant of the Immaculate Conception Church in Westerly and a member of the Westerly Senior Center.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by three brothers, Joseph Piccolo and Anthony Piccolo, both of Westerly, and Thomas Piccolo of Pawcatuck; and three sisters, Mary Aiello of Groton, Helen Corina of Bradford, and Julia Wilcox of Ashaway.
She was predeceased by two sisters, Minnie Nadeau and Pauline Levcowich.
Calling hours will be held Friday from 3 to 5 p.m. in Gaffney-Dolan Funeral Home, 59 Spruce St., Westerly.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Saturday at 10 a.m. in the Immaculate Conception Church, 111 High St., Westerly. There will be no cortege from the funeral home. Burial will be in St. Sebastian Cemetery.
The family requests that in lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Angie's memory be made to The Immaculate Conception Church, 111 High St., Westerly, RI 02891.
