A Mass for Charles J. Rego Sr., 82, of Newark will be offered at 9:30 a.m. Thursday in Our Lady of Fatima Church, Newark, following the funeral from the Buyus Funeral Home, 426 Lafayette St., Newark.
Mr. Rego, who died Saturday at home, was a plumber with the Newark school system before retiring 10 years ago.
He served in the Army during World War II and was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars Julio Silva Post in Newark.
Born in Lowell, Mass., Mr. Rego moved to Newark many years ago.
Surviving are a son, Charles J. Jr., and a grandchild.
