Charles Pettis Dies
Augusta - Charles Pettis. 88. died at his home in Town of Otter Creek Tuesday afternoon after a short illness.
He had lived on the same farm since 1892.
He is survived by his wife; one daughter, Mrs. V. L. Dickinsen, Augusta; three sons, Ivan, Roy, Richard, all of Augusta; two brothers, Walter, Eau Claire, Lewis, East Troy; 21 grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be conducted by the Rev. William B. Warner at 3 p.m. Friday at the Methodist Church here. Burial will be in East Lawn Cemetery.
Friends may call at the Sipe Funeral Home today and to noon Friday, then at the church.

He was known as "Thompson Valley Charley."

He married Ella E Wilson 20 Mar 1900 in Wisconsin.
