Born in Garland, she was a daughter of the late Amos and Kate Rowe Bailey. She had lived in McDowell County all her life and was a member of the Premier United Methodist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Frank Hodge in 1973, and one son, Richard Franklin.
Survivors: sisters, Mrs. William (Melda) Michaels, Mrs. Pinkie Dillon, both of Welch, Mrs. Pinkie Dillon, both of Welch, Mrs. June Adams of Coalwood; brothers, Jack Bailey of Albany, GA, William Bailey of Wauconda, Ill, James Bailey of Island Lake, Ill.
Funeral will be Saturday at 1:30 pm at Fanning Funeral Home Chapel in Welch with the Rev. Carl Kelly officiating and burial at Iaeger Memorial Cemetery, Roderfield.
