Marie J. Rhodes, 94, of Burlington, died at 8:00 PM Wednesday, April 29, 2020, at the OakView Nursing Home and Rehabilitation in Burlington.
Born April 15, 1926, in Danville, she was the daughter of Harold Estes and Lillie Dale Heater. On September 2, 1944, she married Harold Delbert Rhodes in Burlington. He died May 25, 2004.
Marie owned and operated Call and Haul Antiques.
She enjoyed restoring antiques, attending auctions, traveling, playing cards, but most of all, spending time with her family.
Survivors include her daughter, Judith "Judy" M. (Robert) Murphy of Burlington; six grandchildren; several great grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
Besides her husband, she was preceded in death by one son Kevin, her parents, four brothers, three sisters, two nephews, and three nieces.
The Graveside Committal Service for Marie will be 11:00 AM, Wednesday, September 2, 2020, at Keokuk National Cemetery. Those wishing to attend the service will meet at the cemetery gate prior to the service for a procession to the gravesite. A time of food and fellowship will be held following the burial.
