Justus Heater

Justus Harold Heater, 81, of Burlington, died at 12:09 p.m. Tuesday, March 2, 1999, at Burlington Medical Center.

Born Dec. 27, 1917, in Pleasant Grove, he was the son of Herald and Lily Dale Morgan Heater. On Oct. 2, 1940, he married Dorothy Marie Wasson in Burlington.

Mr. Heater was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II. He retired from Central Standard Lumber of Burlington and, also, worked for Big E Lumber, Big River Lumber and Bob Mathews Construction.

He was of the Protestant faith.

Survivors include his wife; two brothers, Gilbert Heater of Waco, Texas, and Dale Heater of Morning Sun; three sisters, Ida Morrow of Wever, Marie Rhodes of Burlington and Mary Duke of Morning Sun; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, one sister and one brother.

There will be no visitation.

The graveside funeral for Mr. Heater will be at 11 a.m. Friday in Burlington Memorial Cemetery, with the Rev. David Mixon officiating.

A memorial has been established to the American Lung Association.

Lunning Chapel is in charge of arrangements.
