Born on August 28, 1931, in Forest, MS. She was the daughter of Fate and Jessie (Cole) Young. Bernice married George Moore Sr. on January 2, 1954. He preceded her in death in April of 2006.
Bernice worked as a chef at Jim's Steakhouse downtown.
Member of the Church of the Living God, Temple 130.
Survived by three sons, George Jr. (Rosemary) Moore, Kevin (Angela) Moore and Sammy Moore; nine daughters, Diane (Donnie) Hankins, Shirley Hanson, Christine (Bob) Differico, Juliet (Noble) Rogers, Julianna (Thomas) Watson, Dorothy Moore, JoAnne (James) Moore-Lobdell, DeAnguela (Delrick) Moore-Davis and Nina McCullum; 32 grandchildren; 52 great-grandchildren; two sisters, Gertrude Loggins and Delma Young; and one brother, Otis Young.
Bernice was at Lutheran Cemetery.
