George Moore Sr., 76, of 1914 W. Antoinette passed away at 5:44 a.m. Monday, April 10, 2006, at OSF Saint Francis Medical Center.
He was born on Aug. 19, 1929, in Tchula, Miss., to Lofton and Tempie Williams Moore. He married Bernice Young in Peoria. She survives.
Also survivng are three sons, George (Rosemary) Moore Jr., Kevin (Angelia) Moore and Sammy Moore; and eight daughters, Diane (Donnie) Jenkins and Shirley Hanson, Christine Moore and Dorothy Moore, and Juliett (Noble) Rogers, Juliann (Thomas) Watson, Jo Anne (James) Lobdell and DeAngula (Delrick) Davis. Also surviving are one sister, Mildred (Roger) Sims of Chicago; 27 grandchildren; and 20 great-grandchildren.
Seven brothers, one sister, one daughter, one granddaughter and one grandson preceded him in death.
He was a retired Caterpillar employee.
Burial was at Lutheran Cemetery.
