Norfolk - William L. "Bill" Branson 90, of Norfolk died November 28, 2015. Mr. Branson was born in Lost River, West Virginia the son of the late Harper Branson and Freddie Webster Branson.

Mr. Branson was a self employed Carpenter and Building Inspector. He served as a corporal in the United States Army during World War II. Mr. Branson was a member of McKendree United Methodist Church in Norfolk and Atlantic Masonic Lodge #2, AF&AM.

Mr. Branson was preceded in death by his sister Joan Reese and three brothers, Tom Branson, George Branson and John Branson. Survivors include his fiancé, Elizabeth L. Dixon of Norfolk, three sisters; Alice Hartman, Betty Wolfe and Elinor Dove. Also surviving are his extended family, Robert King and Ricky Dixon, Kathy and Alex Michaelides, four grandchildren; Zack, Skyler, Colton, Ryan and a great grandchild Solstice.

A funeral service will be conducted 2:00p.m. Thursday December 3, 2015 at McKendree United Methodist Church by the Reverend Michelle Louk. Burial with Masonic Rites will be at Woodlawn Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Tuesday evening from 6:00 until 8:00p.m. H.D.
