A farmer of Rt. 7, Morris Halton Ashton, 66, died Friday evening in an auto-tractor accident. He was 66.
He was a member of the Middletown Christian Church.
He is survived by his widow, the former Thelma Canaday; three children, Haldon Ashton of Middletown, Mrs. Robert (Arlene) Clark of Lehigh Acres, Fla., and Cynthia Ashton of Wurzdurgh, Germany; a sister, Mrs. Vernon (Audrey) Van Zant of Anderson; and several grandchildren.
Funeral rites will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday at the Ballard and Shirey Funeral Home, Middletown, with the Rev. William Douglas officiating. Burial will be in Anderson Memorial Park. The family will receive friends today from 5-9 p.m.
