Mrs. Casper Nacke
Dies; Funeral
Set Saturday
Mrs. Casper (Elizabeth) Nacke, 70, of north of Effingham, died at 12:45 a.m. today in St. Anthony Memorial hospital where she had been a patient for two weeks after suffering a stroke in her home.
Mrs. Nacke, the former Elizabeth Koester, was born April 21, 1889 in Effingham county, daughter of the late J. B. and Mary Cohorst Koester. She married Casper C. Nacke of Teutopolis on May 5, 1908, and the couple celebrated their golden wedding anniversary in 1958.
The family lived on South Forth street road and on several farm locations, before moving 11 years ago to their present residence.
Surviving are her husband; four sons, Joe of Effingham, Louis of Marengo, Casper Jr. of Arcola and Donald of Mesa, Ariz.; three daughters, Mrs. Edward (Agnes) Deters, Teutopolis, Mrs. George (Bernadine) Kinkelaar, Effingham and Mrs. Wesley (Mildred) Stumeier, Effingham; seven brothers, Lawrence Koester, Saskatchewan, Canada; Edward of Logan, Kansas; Herman of Teutopolis; Louis, Friz and Allie of Effingham and Ben of Freeport; three sisters, Mrs. William Kreke, of Effingham, Mrs. Josephine Quinn, New York City, N.Y., and Mrs. Minnie Coriell of Banning, Calif.; 38 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren.
The body is at the Bauer funeral home where friends may call after 2 p.m. Thursday. The rosary will be recited at 8 p.m. Thursday and at 7 p.m. Friday, the latter by the St. Ann's Altar Society of St. Anthony church of which she was a member.
Funeral services will be held at 9 a.m. Saturday in St. Anthony church with Rev. John J. Goff officiating with burial in the church cemetery.
