He is survived by three children he shared with Thelma Linton Osborne, Linda Preston, Mary (Jim) Triplett, Jim "Scoob" Osborne. Eulis was proud of and loved to tell about his grandchildren, Kayla (Brian) Brown, Dusty (Autumn) Preston, Neysa (Steven) Hall, Cole Triplett and Sadie Preston (Justin Wimmer); and great-grandchildren, Corbit and Reece Preston, Emme, Dax and Livia Brown and Tatum Hall.
He is survived by brother, Owen "Whet" Osborne and preceded in death by his parents, and siblings, Gilva Blevins, Mount Osborne, Vealie Alley, Olen Osborne, Tamara DeBoard, Grace Lambert, Pairsie Mullens, Mazel Newsome, Vurnis "Junior" Osborne, Revis Osborne, George Osborne and Jeff Osborne.
Eulis loved his church family as much as his own. His greatest joy in life was playing his beloved Martin guitars and singing for his Saviour. There was never a doubt with anyone that ever spoke with him, that Jesus was the Lord of his life. He raised his family working as a truck driver, first for Clary Trucking then was very proud of working for and retiring from Davis Trucking, Waterloo Coal after 28 years. He loved to tell people that he has "read the back of the book, (Bible) and it's lookin' good for the home team!"
Funeral services will be held at 12:00 noon on Sunday, February 2, 2020 at the Mayhew-Brown Funeral Home with Pastor George Vastine officiating. Burial will follow at Mt. Nebo (Tennant) Cemetery. The family will received friends at the funeral home 2 hours prior to the service, from 10:00 a.m. until noon.
Arrangements are by the Mayhew-Brown Funeral Home in Jackson.
