Lloyd Russell died at his home near Newt, Saturday, Jan. 31 at the age of 62. The son of J. J. Russell and Sallie Thompson Russell, he was born April 7, 1831. He was united in marriage to Ettie Lobb on July 6, 1929. To this union one child was born. He was a member of the Trammels Creek Baptist Church. He is survived by his wife and one son, James Howard Russell; one brother, Thurman Russell; four sisters, Mrs. Ida Keltner, Mrs. Jeanie Slinker, Mrs. Helen Scott, and Mrs. Lissie Thompson. Funeral services were held Monday at 1:30 p. m. at Trammell's Creek Church, with Rev. W. T. Jewell in charge, assisted by Little Barren quartet. Burial was in the J.J. Russell cemetery.
