Funeral services for Mrs Ila Mae Garrett, age 63, of 909 East Church St, Monroe, will be held at 2 pm Friday from the New Hope Methodist Church, with remains placed in state at 1:15. The Rev W L Gooch and Rev D J Cumming will officiate. Interment, church cemetery. Surviving are daughter, Mrs A D Foster, Albuquerque, N Mex; sons, Mr Thomas M Garrett, Mr Joseph M Garrett, both of Monroe; sister, Mrs Edna M Nix; brothers, Mr Gilbert S Mobley, Mr R Grady Mobley, all of Atlanta; four grandchildren. Pallbearers are requested to meet at 1 pm at Williams-Smith Funeral Home, Monroe.
