Dennis Marvin Wright, age 68, of Carrollton, Missouri passed away on Wednesday, April 1, 2020, at his home.
He was born on December 3, 1951, to Harold Marvin and Bonnie Ruth (Wilkinson) Wright in Carrollton, Missouri, and was the next to oldest of their five sons.
Dennis attended Carrollton High School and graduated with the class of 1969. On June 29, 1974, he married Terri Samm in Carrollton, Missouri, and they were blessed with one son, Marvin.
He liked living in the country where he could go out in the pasture to tend to his beautiful horses, Ginger and Sugar, and get lost in the beauty of nature and the serenity and peace of just being by himself after a busy day at Green's. He loved his identical twin lab dogs, who were both named Buddy, because first of all no-one could tell them apart and secondly that way at least one of them, if not both, would come when he called them!
Dennis is survived by his wife, Terri of the home; one son, Marvin Wright and wife Lorna of Carrollton, Missouri; siblings, Douglas Wright and wife Donna of Sweet Springs, Missouri, and Darrell Wright and wife Deanna of Chillicothe, Missouri; one granddaughter, Halley Wright; one grandson, Jacob Davis; one great-granddaughter, Greylie Davis; two aunts, Jane Carlill of Harrisonville, Missouri, and Lou Wilkinson of Grand Pass, Missouri; one uncle, Frankie Hampton of Missouri; nieces, nephews, and numerous cousins.
Dennis was preceded in death by his grandparents; parents; and two brothers, David and Dean.
A private family gathering and burial will be held on Thursday, April 2, 2020, at Carroll Memory Gardens, Carrollton, Missouri.
A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
For those who would like to make a memorial contribution, the family respectfully requests they be made to H.E.L.P. Cancer Fund in memory of Dennis. They may be left at or mailed to Bittiker Funeral Home, P. O. Box 223, Carrollton, Missouri, 64633.
