Born in Swain County, she was the daughter of the late Jesse Clyde and Effie (Freeman) Tabor. Her brothers Clyde Tabor Jr. and Cecil Tabor preceded her in death.
She is survived by
one son, John Stroud and wife, Audrey, of Bryson City; a sister, Hazel Grooms of Asheville; four brothers, John Tabor of Kernersville, N.D. Tabor of Bryson City, Buel Tabor of Bryson City and J.C. Tabor of Bryson City and
grandchildren, Leaan Ferguson, April Kuhn, Jeremy Stroud, Krystal Brooks, Chad Cody and Chasity Taylor.
She will be sadly missed by all her family and friends and her life truly touched many in Swain County.
The funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Monday at Deep Creek Baptist Church, Bryson City. Rev. Earl Holden will officiate with burial in Swain Memorial Park.
