Joseph Hudson, a well known riverman, died at his home in Clinton, South Buffalo Township, Thursday morning at ten o'clock. He was taken ill Wednesday and rapidly grew worse. Deceased was born in 1838 and spent many years of his life boating on the Allegheny River. A wife and four children survive; Ida, at home, Mrs. Edith Bush, Mrs. Elmer Stepp and Joseph Hudson Jr. of Rochester, N.Y. He is also survived by four brothers, all prominent rivermen; William K and T. P., of Clinton; H.P., of Freeport, and J.M., of Kittanning.
Deceased was an elder in the Clinton Church.
