Dorothy L. Gibson, 86, of Waverly, Ohio, passed 7:05 a.m. Friday, February 14, 2020 at Adena Regional Medical Center, Chillicothe.
Dorothy was born November 7, 1933 in Lucasville, Ohio, the daughter of the late Harlen Conkel and Gypsie (Carter) Conkel.
She is survived by a daughter, of Waverly, Ohio, grandson, of Waverly, Ohio, great-grandson, of Waverly, Ohio, sister, of Springfield, Ohio, brother, of Waverly, Ohio, several nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by grandson, Shannon Jay Rider, two brothers, Ray Conkel and William Conkel, and two sisters, Mae Conkel and Alene Conkel.
Dorothy was a retired Nurses Aide at Pike Community Hospital for over 32 years. She as a graduate of Stockdale High School Class of 1953.
Funeral services will be held 1:00 p.m. Saturday, February 22, 2020 at the Boyer Funeral Home in Waverly with Pastor Dale Reed, officiating. Burial will follow in Omega Cemetery.
Family will receive friends at the Boyer Funeral Home from 5 - 8 p.m. Friday and noon until the time of service on Saturday.
