While fishing in Hawcreek, near Hope, yesterday, George Woehler, an old citizen, fell into that stream and was drowned. The cause of the accident is attributed to heart failure. The deceased has been in bad health for some time. Dr. Falk, the coroner, went up to Hope this morning and ascertained that Woehler was fishing in water about five feet deep, and that his hook had become fastened upon a root. Those who know Woehler's mode of fishing say that he usually wades into the water and unfastens his hook, and it is generally believed that he was seized with heart trouble while in the water and drowned in this manner.
