Monday, March 23, 1885

C. B. Woehler started out from his home yesterday morning at 10 o'clock for a walk. When about a half square from home he was noticed to sink to the side walk. He was taken into a house nearby and Dr. Boynton summoned, who speedily arrived, but in spite of all [attempts] at restoratives, he died in fifteen minutes. Mr. Woehler was born in Bethlehem, Pa., Sept. 7, 1830; emigrated to Hope in 1839. He has been engaged in various kinds of business both at Hope and in this city for the last thirty-three years. Has been engaged in the saloon business at Hope since 1867. He leaves a widow and three grown sons. Funeral services will be conducted from his late residence on Main street, in Hope, to-morrow at 2 p. m.
