Manes Raymond Davis was born near Dixon on April 7, 1904 the son of John Henry and Rebecca Burnett and passed-' away in the Phelps County Regional Medical Center in Rolla on Monday morning, January 10, 1983. He had attained the age of 78.
He was united in marriage to Lucille Jones on August 8, 1928 and to this union 3 sons and 2 daughters were born.
Manes is survived by his wife Lucille of the home in Dixon, 2 daughters. Esta Lee Bunch of Somonauk, Illinois, and Georgia- Beat of Dixon, 3 sons, Gene of 'SahdwichoiUinois. Dale of Strafford and Tommy of Dixon, 3 sisters, Mima Gjoodman of Hancock, and _Myra_ Wagoner, and Mamie Lane of Granite City, Illinois, 3 brothers, gllis of Granite CityTnfinois, Everett of Swedebotg. and Lester of Springfield. 13 grJadchildren. Teresa, Tommy .Wade, Larry and Charles Davis, /'Amta__LjgJ}t1j Ronda Keith, Stevie^ana' Huggett^and great-
grandchildren, Brian Light, Yvonne, Oianne and Laura Bunch and Phillip and Jennifer Huggett., with many other relatives and friends. Funeral services were held in the Long Gilbert Chapel on Wednesday, January 12, 1983 at 2:00 p.m. with Rev. Earl Jones officiating. Burial was in the Seaton Cemetery under the direction of the Long Gilbert Chapel of Dixon. Serving as pallbearers were Eugene Goodman, Charles Brittain, Harold Copeland, Bill Cross, Bill Withers and Charles McSorley. Organist was Hazel Schierbaum and singers were Bill, Mona and Carol
