Timothy married Sarah Parsils, on 5/12/1774, in the Springfield Presbyterian Church, Springfield, Essex Co., NJ. [Today, the church is located in Union Co., NJ, since Union Co. was formed in 1857, out of Essex Co.]. This marriage is quoted in Timothy's Rev. war pension file [pension file # W 7442]. During the war, the town of Springfield was burned to the ground, by the British, leaving only 1 house remaining. Since the Springfield Church was also destroyed, including their records, this pension file is the only documentation of Timothy's birth, marriage & death dates. It also proves his wife Sarah, was still alive long after his death.
