Funeral services are pending with Sorrells and Sons Funeral Home.

Funeral services for Mrs. Lou Vee Caldwell, 49, of 4221 Caddo St. will be at 10 a.m. today in the Sorrells and Sons Memorial Chapel with the Rev. Ben Smith officiating.

Mrs. Caldwell died at 8:15 p.m. Tuesday in a Dallas hospital after a long illness.

Burial will be in Forest Park Cemetery.

Mrs. Caldwell was born in the McWright community, the daughter of W.G. and Emily Steed Mauldin.

She married T.A. Caldwell on Jan. 22, 1942, in Greenville, and he survives her.

Mrs. Caldwell was an employe of Shirey Manufacturing Co. for seven years before ill health forced her to retire. She was a member of the Johnson Street Church of Christ.

Survivors include the widower, one son, Neil Caldwell of Greeenville; one daughter, Joan Caldwell of Dallas; three brothers, Claud Mauldin of Greenville; Gail Maudlin of Stuart, Va.; and Ray Caldwell of Oklahoma City; two sisters, Mrs. Jettie Bagwell of Greenville and Mrs. Bessie Brown of Greenville; and two grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be Bunk Brown, Cecil Fight, Willie Adcock, James Harrison Mauldin, Buddy Thomason and Leo Mauldin.
