5 Apr 1937: Joseph H. Meyer, 46, near Fredericksburg, a poultry salesman for Coble Grimes of Fredericksburg, died Sunday in the Kings County Hospital, Brooklyn. New York, of pneumonia following a weeks illness. He was a former telegraph operator and farmer. Mr. Meyer was born & raised in Ebenezer, & was a member of the U.B Church, Ebenezer. He leaves to survive his wife, Alice nee Boyer; and children Helen, Beulah, Samuel, Mildred, Leon and Eugene, at home; the parents, Mr. and Mrs. Samuel P. Meyer of Ebenezer; and these brothers, Morris, of Lebanon Route 3; Arthur, of Jonestown Route #1; Harvey of Burbank, Calif.; and sisters, Mrs. Paul Arnold, of Lebanon Route #3; and Mrs. Esther Halsell, of Lebanon.
