Ora Nadine (Hartman) Richards, age 83, was born December 14, 1936, the daughter of Raymond and Ruby (McDaniels) Hartman. She passed away peacefully on January 13, 2020 at Appleton City Manor in Appleton City, Missouri.
She spent her youth in the Mulberry, Kansas area. During this time, she met and married Everett Eugene Richards and they wed in August of 1954. To this union three children were born: Mary, Edward, and William. After Everett’s death Nadine completed a GED and later graduated from Southwest Baptist University, earning a bachelor’s degree in home economics. She then worked for many years as a food service manager at several colleges and nursing homes.
Her life was dedicated to caring for her family and those she loved, which included being a mom to many children that were not her own. Nadine always had an open home, where she welcomed everyone. She especially loved watching Chief’s games and fishing. One of her favorite hobbies was crocheting. She will be deeply missed by her many family and friends.
She is preceded in death by her husband Everett; her parents, Raymond and Ruby (McDaniels) Hartman; two sisters, Myrtle Dohle and Wauneta Dohle; two brothers, Jack Hartman and Don Hartman; a special companion, Kelly Rice; and two grandchildren, Charles Eugene and Daniel Adams Brownsberger.

(Alisha) Brownsberger, Tracy (Geoff) Kelly, Dylan Richards, Adam (Ashley) Richards and Dianna Srinath; 12 great-grandchildren; and she raised Kelly’s three children: Charlie, Roger, and Ila Rice; Nadine is also survived by many extended family and good friends.
