Flora Ellen Osborn, of Edmond, Oklahoma, went to her heavenly home on Monday, January 6, 2020.

Flora, or Tutu, as she was known by many, was born on June 21, 1928 near Jay, Oklahoma to Ira Franklin and Fannie Violet (Johnson) Ketchum.

Flora was blessed to be part of a very large and loving family with 12 siblings, of which she had the special privilege of being one of three sets of twins. The stories shared from her childhood are priceless, and the values instilled by her family were evident in everything that she did and was.

Flora grew up in Vinita, Oklahoma where she attended Vinita Public Schools. She married the love of her life, John Luther Osborn, on May 4, 1946 in Columbus, Kansas. They were married for 70 wonderful years and shared the secret to their long and happy marriage as living a Christ-centered life. John and Flora moved to Bartlesville early in their marriage, where they spent the majority of their married life. John and Flora were blessed with one daughter, Shelli Renee in 1963.

Flora was an incredibly hard worker during her life and enjoyed her co-workers and customers that she met along the way. She was a long-time employee of Martin’s Department Store and finished her career with Jane Phillips Medical Center at the age of 75, saying she was just too old to learn computers. Flora was an active member of the 1st Church of God in Dewey, Oklahoma for more than 40 years, until she moved to Edmond, Oklahoma in 2006 to be closer to her daughter. Flora had a love for the elderly and enjoyed visiting and sharing God’s love with them as often as possible.

Flora was an avid fan of Oklahoma State Football and Basketball and she enjoyed season tickets and the tailgating weekends in Stillwater with family and friends. Flora loved to travel and enjoy the beauty that God created. One of her favorite memories was climbing Diamond Head in Hawaii at the age of 83. We all hope to be able to do the same!

Flora is survived by her daughter, Shelli Osborn of Edmond, OK, her twin sister Dora Wilson of Bartlesville, OK, sister Aline Beisley and Imogene Beisley, both of Vinita, OK, many numerous nieces and nephews she considered second children and many friends considered as extended family.

Flora was preceded in death by her parents; her husband John Osborn, her brothers Amel Ketchum, Arnold Ketchum, George Ketchum, and her sisters Leona Weber and Letha Satterwhite.

Funeral Services will be Thursday, January 9 at 11:00am at Baggerley Funeral Home in Edmond, OK.
