Walter Zeb (Ted) Morris passed away peacefully at McCall Hospice House in Simpsonsville, surrounded by his family, Saturday, January 4, 2020.
Ted is survived by his wife, Edith Marie Moore Morris; 2 daughters Tammie Morris Roach and Tonya Lea Morris; 2 grandsons Joshua Dale Roach and Jacob Daniel Zeb Roach.
Ted is lovingly remembered by his brother Jerry F. Morris (Eloise) of Mauldin, sister Geraldine Morris Kenemer (David) of Conyers, GA; 6 nieces and 1 nephew; as well as his step children and their families Johnny, Gigi, Kate (Zach Morse) and Jed Bowen; Angela, Michael, Zachary and Zane Gray; Alan and Karen (Mawhinney) Grubbs.
Ted was predeceased by his parents Clara G Morris and Lemmie M Morris, brother Lemmie Morris and granddaughter Kirsti Leigh Roach.
Ted honorably served his country as a member of the U.S. Army from 1964-1966. He retired from Michelin, North America after 32 years of service. He was a member of Tabernacle Baptist Church in Pelzer.
The family wants to express their sincere gratitude and appreciation for all of the staff of McCall Hospice House, with an extra special thank you to his home nurse Bethany Cassels and his in-room nurse Suzy Cothran.
A Celebration of Life will be held at M.J. Dolly Cooper Veterans Cemetery in Anderson, SC on Friday, January 10th at 1:00. The message will be delivered by Pastor Buckshot (James) Avant and the eulogy will be offered by Pastor Tim Williams.
