Coeburn, VA ~ Billy Vernon Bond, 76 took his Heavenly Flight straight into the arms of his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, Wednesday, December 5, 2018 at Holston Valley Medical Center in Kingsport, Tennessee.
The Circle of our family lost a kind, loving and gentle giant that night, that we will never forget. He fought the good fight and and kept the faith through his many earthly struggles, never complaining, never relenting, yet always ready to lend a helping hand to anyone who ask. His heart was as big as the moon, and his love for his Great Big Crazy Family was fierce. He was a lighting barber, master woodworker and wood carver, loving father, brother, son, friend and uncle to all who crossed his path. He adored the children, great and small and they adored him and our family sure has a lot of them, 60 plus!
He was born to late Barron Steuben Bond and Flossie Hazel Carico Bond on July 25, 1942 in Scott County Tennessee. He was preceded in death by his Mother Hazel Bond, two brothers, Marvin Lee Bond and Jessie Wendall Bond, nephews, Curtis Lee Bond and Dillon Lee Bond, sisters-in-law, Patricia Rutherford Bond and Carolyn Boyette Bond, half sister, Denita Bond, both grandparents and several aunts, uncles and cousins.
Survivors include a son, Billy Bond Jr., Wise; two sisters, Fredia Ceigle, Coeburn and Sherry Righter, Columbus, OH; six brothers, Barron Neal Bond, Batavia, OH, Arnold Lewis Bond, Salisberry, MD, Rev. Curtis Bond, Larry Joe Bond and Mickey Shane Bond, and Kenny Lawrence Bond, all of Coeburn; five half sisters, Linda Maynard, Geraldine Tarter, Sandy Keith, Marida Poole, Denice Whalen; two half brothers, Steve Bond and Greg Bond; two grandchildren, Jessie and Austina, two great grandchildren, Bella and Blum and several nieces and nephews.
