Kathy was born in Live Oak, Florida to L.T. and Lenna McCullers. The family moved from Mayo, FL to Midwest City, OK when Kathy was young and attended Midwest City schools where she graduated in 1968. Kathy worked at John A. Brown department store, University of Oklahoma Medical Center, City of Midwest City and the Oklahoma Secretary of State’s office where she retired in 2015.
Kathy is survived by the love of her life David W. McNabb whom she married on July 18, 1974 and two daughters, Bree (Gary), Sarah, her sister Carolyn and niece Cindy and three grandchildren Samantha, Alexandra and Anna.
She is preceded in death by her parents.
As a teen, Kathy spent many summers in Mayo, FL with her father’s parents earning money picking some cotton and string tobacco. Her parents took the family on vacations to the Florida Keys and beaches. They also traveled to San Francisco and Rocky mountains.
Kathy met her husband, David, though her sister in November 1973 and married in 1974. They enjoyed traveling somewhere new every year.
In lieu, of flowers, the family ask that you make donations in Kathy’s name to the American Cancer Society or Cancer Research.
Funeral services: Monday, January 6, 2020 at 10:30 AM at the Lynlee Mae Chapel 507 E. Main Street, Moore, Ok. Interment is at Resthaven Memory Gardens.
Services are under the direction of John Ireland Funeral Home.
