BISHOP

BOONEVILLE - Funeral services for Victor Bruce Bishop, 71, are set for 2 p.m. today at McMillan Funeral Home with the Rev. C.D. Edge and Rev. Pete McCoy officiating. Burial will be in Booneville Cemetery.

Mr. Bishop died Tuesday, Aug. 10, 1999 at Baptist Central Hospital in Memphis, Tenn. He was an employee of Booneville Housing Authority Maintenance Department, member of IBEW Union, member of Fairview Baptist Church. He is preceded in death by his first wife, Joyce Montez Strickland Bishop his parents, Jack and Rachel Bishop; one sister; Hazel Isbell; and one brother; George Bishop.

Survivors include his wife, Virginia Lauderdale Stennett Bishop; one daughter, Judy Carolyn Johnson (George) of Houston, Texas; one son, Kenneth Ray Bishop (Debbie) of Booneville; two step-sons, Don Stennett of Booneville and Ronald Stennett of Pontotoc; four sisters, Nellie Murphy Thornton, Polly Robinson and Betty Sue Turvaville, all of Booneville and Inez Williams of Memphis; three brothers, Milton Bishop and Gene Bishop, both of Rienzi and Aaron Bishop of Belmont; three grandchildren, Diane Moore, Tanya Bishop and Cammie Bishop; two step-grandchildren, Brian Stennett and Bradley Stennett; three great-granchildren and three step-great grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be grandsons and nephews. Honorary Pallbearers will be Rienzi-Alcorn County Rescue Squad.

Visitation will continue until service time Thursday.
