Inez Lavelle Bishop Williams, 78 of Memphis, died Thursday, May 09, 2002 at Spring Gate Nurshing home. She was the daugther of Andrew Jackson (Jack) Bishop and Gilley Mae Grishman Bishop. Her step mother was Rachel Matilda Downs Bishop. Rachel raised Inez from a baby. She consideed her, her first daugther. Her grand parents were George (Jim) Grisham and Mandy Patterson Grisham, William Edwin Bishop and Mary Prather Bishop also George W. Downs and Martha B. Harrelson Downd.

Services will be at noon Monday at Forest Hill Funeral Home Midtown. She was a member of the Rienzi Baptist Church of Rienzi, Ms. Bro. Charlie Cooper officiating. Burial will be in Forest Hill Cemt.

Mrs Williams was retired from the Shasta Beverages company.


Mrs. Williams was the widow of Louis F. Williams. She leaves three daugthers; Peggy Jean Scoggins, of Ohatchee, Ala. Louise Williams, of Atoka, and Patricia Ann Hardister of Memphis. Three sisters; Polly Bishop Robinson, Nellie Bishop Murphy Thorton and Betty Sue Bishop Turvaville, all of Booneville, Ms. two brothers; Eugene Bishop and Milton Bishop of Rienzi, Ms.

8 grandchildren; Larry Alan Scoggins, Boyd Grady Scoggin, Dewey Eugene Aureli, Lawrence Dale Aureli, Melaine Ann Aureli, Claude Murry Myers, Michael Trey Hardister, and Mikki Renee Hardister. and three great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, three brothers Aaron Clifton Bishop, William George Bishop and Victor Bishop one sister; Hazel Bishop Isbell. Her mother-in-law Bessie Williams.
