BISHOP
RIENZI - George William Bishop, 66, died Friday, May 21, 1993, at the Baptist Memorial Hospital in Booneville after an extended illness. He was a retired employee of Wurlitzer in Rienzi and a member of the Rienzi Baptist Church.
Services will be at 11 a.m. today at McMillan Funeral Home with the minister Charlie Cooper officiating. Burial will be in the Booneville Cemetery.
Survivors include his wife, Ruby Inez Barnes Bishop of Rienzi; one daughter, Peggy Palmer of Rienzi; four sons, Bobby Bishop and David Bishop, both of Corinth, Ricky Bishop of Counce, Tenn., and Johnny Bishop of the home; four sisters, Martha "Polly" Robinson, Nellie Thornton and Betty Turvaville, all of Booneville, and Inez Williams of Memphis, Tenn.; four brothers, Aaron Bishop of Golden, Victor Bishop, Eugene Bishop and Milton Bishop, all of Rienzi; four grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
He was the son of Andrew Jackson (Jack) Bishop and Rachel Matilda Downs Bishop. He was the grandson of William Edwin Bishop and Mary Prather Bishop and George Washington Downs and Martha B. Harrelson Downs.
He was preceded in death by his parents and grandparents; One sister Hazel Irene Bishop Isbell.
