Bea was graduated from Arsenal Technical High School in 1934, where she was a member of the Arsenal Cannon staff. Like so many other women, became a Rosie the Riveter during WWII. She worked as a key punch operator for the Lucas Herald Company (now a part of Raytheon Corporation) contributing to the production of the Norden Bombsight, which helped win the war.
Her future husband served in the Army Air Corps as a crewmember on a B-24 bomber which used the Norden bombsight. After the war she joined the Indiana Department of Commerce where, after holding several positions, she became the secretary to Lt. Governor Harold Hanley.
Beatrice was preceded in death by beloved husband, Raphael J. George; brothers, Clarence and Michael Risk; and sisters, Hilaneh Sa'adeh, Wideha Stott, Mary Risk, Marie Traina and Frances Kafoure. She is survived by daughter, Susanne Marie Esber Baranyk, son-in-law, Stephen W. Baranyk, three grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren: William and Rose (Elena, Claire) Baranyk, Rebecca and Philip (Evelyn, Raphael, Peter) Milburn, David and Nancy (Isabella, Cecilia) Baranyk. She is also survived by brother, Ferris Risk; brother-in-law, William Kafoure; sister-in-law, Isabel Kafoure; and many nephews and nieces.
Services were entrusted to Feeney-Hornak Keystone Mortuary of Indianapolis, Indiana.
