ZIMMERMAN—Alfred E. Lowney, 80, died Sunday at Fairview Princeton Hospital, Princeton.
Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m. Thursday at St. Pius X Catholic Church. The Rev. Paul Folsum will officiate. Burial will be in the parish cemetery.
Friends may call after 4 p.m. Wednesday at Hanson Funeral Home, Princeton. Parish prayers will be at 8:30 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.

Alfred Lowney was born March 29, 1906, in Zimmerman to Michael and Addie (Galbraith) Looney. He worked on his father’s farm, then moved to Fargo, N.D., where he was employed by Manchester Biscuit Co., currently known as Keebler Co. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II, returned to Fargo and again worked for Manchester Biscuit Co., continuing to work for them in Moorhead, Chicago, and Cincinnati as a supervisor. He married Josephine F. Bernardy Sept. 30, 1950, and retired and moved back to Zimmerman in 1968.
Survivors include his wife.
He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers and six sisters.
